Throughout my almost 20-year career in coaching, education, training, behavioral health, & social work, I have witnessed a significant increase in anxiety, isolation, worry, dissatisfaction, & dread among teens, 20 somethings & adults. Stress, reactivity & distraction challenges are increasingly negatively impacting all aspects of our lives.
This observation & experience motivated me to narrow my scope of work to ADHD Coaching. During my time with the International ADHD Coaching Training Centers, I discovered my biggest blind spot, I too have ADHD! I am now reviewing & remembering the last 40 some years of my life with a clearer & greater acceptance & understanding, through the lens of ADHD. I also realize that my personal yoga & meditation practice significantly reduced my symptoms of ADHD for almost 25 years!
ADHD Life Coaching with me is a whole person approach, emphasizing the interconnectedness of mental, physical, social, emotional, creative, & intellectual health & well-being. Utilizing mindfulness-based practices to build curiosity, resilience & skillful problem solving.

In Buddhist Psychology, there is a concept known as the Second Arrow. To better understand it, let me explain the First Arrow, it represents the unavoidable hardships of life. All of us are faced with difficult experiences such as physical pain, loss, relationship challenges, parenting, career change, mental health concerns, or having ADHD.
The Second Arrow refers to the suffering we add on top of these already challenging circumstances. This Second Arrow is the result of our own thoughts & reactions. Often, we find ourselves asking questions like "Why me?" or "Why does this have to happen now?” Or “Why can’t this be different?” We often blame ourselves, feel guilty, or carry the weight of shame for circumstances being as they are.
The Second Arrow teaches us that we have the power to choose HOW we respond to life's difficulties. Through AWARENESS we cultivate compassion, insight, & agency. By being non-judgmentally present in life, our own understanding & acceptance further develops. Only then,
are we able to reduce suffering.
At Second Arrow ADHD Coaching, my aim is to guide individuals in navigating life's challenges with compassionate mindfulness, resilience, & deliberate action. By integrating self-regulation strategies & evidence-based practices, we will cultivate insight, wisdom, & a more skillful approach to life with ADHD.
