Throughout my 15+ year career in coaching, education, training, behavioral health, and social work, I have witnessed a significant increase in anxiety, isolation, worry, dissatisfaction, & dread among teens, 20 somethings & adults. Stress, reactivity & distraction challenges are increasingly negatively impacting various aspects of our lives, including relationships, careers, & academics.
This observation & experience motivated me to shift my focus to ADHD Coaching. During my training with the International ADHD Coaching Training Centers, I discovered my biggest blind spot, I too have ADHD! I am constantly looking into & remembering the last 40 some years of my life, now with a clearer & greater acceptance & understanding, through this lens of ADHD. I realized that my personal yoga & medication practice significantly reduced my symptoms of ADHD for almost 20 years!

In Buddhist Psychology, there is a concept known as the Second Arrow. To better understand it, let me explain the First Arrow, it represents the unavoidable hardships of life. All of us are faced with difficult experiences such as physical pain, loss, relationship challenges, parenting, career change, or mental health concerns.
The Second Arrow refers to the suffering we add on top of these already challenging circumstances. This Second Arrow is the result of our own thoughts and reactions. Often, we find ourselves asking questions like "Why me?" or "Why does this have to happen now?” Or “Why can’t this be different?” We may even blame ourselves, feel guilty, or carry the weight of shame for circumstances being as they are.
The Second Arrow teaches us that we have the power to choose how we respond to life's difficulties. Through self-awareness, we cultivate self-compassion, insight, and agency. By being non-judgmentally present, our own understanding and acceptance further develops, and we are able to reduce our own suffering.
At Second Arrow Life Coaching, my aim is to guide individuals in navigating life's challenges with resilience, compassion, and deliberate action. By integrating mindfulness and evidence-based approaches, we'll cultivate clarity, wisdom, and a more skillful approach to life with ADHD.
